After all usually they follow parents&#8217; decision, leave their old life behind and enter completely new, unfamiliar environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Every aspect can become a source of stress: new place to live, foreign language, food, culture, school, separation from friends and relatives. It takes a lot of energy and resources to adapt.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Technological progress and availability of travel made us <strong>underestimate how hard is the transition <\/strong>to the new country. Change within the same continent is a big challenge. Change<strong> between continents<\/strong> is especially hard, because it usually involves culture shock.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\"><strong>Transition might bring:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Sadness and withdrawal<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Grieving<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Anxiety<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Identity confusion<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Social regression<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Somatic symptoms<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Anger and conflicts<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Worse results at school<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li class=\"has-medium-font-size\">Increased dependence on the family<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-medium-font-size\">For the first consultation I invite the child with at least one parent.
